Tired

Packing up the booth took us 6 hours last night, and we were off the floor at 10:00 p.m. Dropped off our bags at the hotel and had dinner around 11:00 p.m. I got in bed by shortly after midnight and watched just enough TV to take my mind off of the blisters on my feet.
I've gotten my laptop back with a new hard drive, and a fresh install of OS X 10.4. Once I have some consitently high bandwidth I'll boot it again and start the updates. I've got to say that The Mac Store were great. The didn't work miracle miracles, but they were professional, honest and quick, which was exactly what I needed.
I'm going to have a quiet day today, and visit Powell's Books, and maybe the park on the north side of town. Originally I really wanted to fly home today, but now I'm glad I don't have to get on a plane after a week solid of long days. It's was a great show, and I think that many good things will come out of it--but I'm glad to have the chance to recharge to be there for my family tomorrow.
The image at the top of this post is from another movie made by the Futures Lab at Argonne National Laboratory, by Joe Insley. You can find all the details on their website. Joe didn't do it alone, but there will be some press about the project that helped to get it done, and I'll make note of the others when I have something to link to.
I've got a lot of photos that I want to post, but I'm going to wait until I can work on my own machine gain. Really looking forward to being home again.
